2017 - Tir Na Nog Irish Dance proudly participated in their 6th year dancing at Blackstone River Theatre's Summer Solstice Festival!

Tir Na Nog Performance Troupe is for dancers who want to take their dancing outside of the classroom, performing for audiences throughout the Rhode Island and Massachusetts area. We perform in front of large and small groups and at numerous venues such as nursing homes, elementary and middle schools, daycare facilities, weddings, festivals, parties, private functions and more!
Tir Na Nog Performance Troupe members are dedicated to the team and must be committed to making the group rehearsals.

Tir Na Nog is all about getting back to tradition. Wigs and high-priced dresses will NEVER be part of our attire. Many schools require dancers to buy the "school dress" - which can cost anywhere from $600 to $1000. Tir Na Nog Irish Dance will never require a wig or a high priced dress. Our costume at top price is $180 - this is for all the pieces combined for the most advanced dancer and the price drops from there. We have the lowest cost costumes in all of Rhode Island and even better you wear them all year round for all performances!

Tir Nog Irish Dancers prefers Rutherford Shoes but you can also try out Fays.

When purchasing both hard or soft shoes please get the black suede bottom sole.

HAIR

Tir Na Nog dancers will never wear wigs. However, dancers MUST curl their hair for each performance. You may do so using a curling iron, curling wand, or curlers. Many of our dancers use soft spikes (http://www.softspikecurlers.com) which create beautiful soft ringlets!

They are comfortable to sleep on and create curls that last all day long!

Hair must be a "Natural" tone. Performance troupe dancers may not participate in any shows if their hair is dyed a color that is not natural.(Purple, green, pink, blue, aqua… and so forth are not allowed.)

The Tir Na Nog Outside the Studio

The Tir Na Nog Performance Troupe also does fun activities together throughout the year like Ice Cream Parties, Tie Dyeing, Water Balloon fun, Sleepovers, viewing shows at PPAC, and so much more!

Tir Na Nog Performance dancers have a great deal of fun together, learn intricate Irish Dance choreography, and make lasting friends. You will also learn about the Irish culture and traditions and get to perform many times throughout the year and within the St. Patrick's Day season!

If you are interested in joining a performance troupe please email Erika at: ErikaIrishDance@gmail.com or talk to her in class!
